Scholarship Description:
The laboratory of Dr. Susie Dai at the University of Missouri is inviting applications for a postdoctoral researcher position. This role is part of the innovative Carbon Utilization Redesign for Biomanufacturing (CURB) Engineering Research Center (ERC), emphasizing sustainable biomanufacturing and remediation.
Research Focus:
- Enzymatic Cassette Reaction Design for Carbon Utilization: Developing synthetic biology platforms to transform carbon feedstocks into valuable bioproducts through enzymatic reactions. The work integrates protein engineering, metabolic pathway design, and microbial fermentation strategies.
Collaboration Opportunities:
The position offers unique interdisciplinary collaboration with leading researchers from Washington University in St. Louis, the University of Delaware, and Texas A&M University. The successful candidate will be co-mentored by Dr. Susie Dai and Dr. Joshua Yuan.
