Scholarship Description:
Dr. Yi Zhang’s Computational Biology Laboratory at Duke University invites applications for a postdoctoral position in computational biology, ML/AI, and bioinformatics. We welcome applicants interested in developing ML/AI methodologies for genomics, particularly in single-cell and spatial transcriptomics, single-cell multi-omics, and computational pathology.
Dr. Yi Zhang is an Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery and Biostatistics & Bioinformatics at Duke University. He graduated from the University of Science and Technology of China in 2014 and earned his PhD in Bioengineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2019. From 2019 to 2023, he was a postdoctoral researcher in Professor Shirley Liu’s lab at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
He has published first-author papers on genomic computational methods in Nature Communications, Cancer Research, Bioinformatics, and Frontiers in Genetics, and co-authored articles in Cell, Blood, Nature Machine Intelligence, and Nature Protocols.
In 2024, he will establish a Computational Biology Laboratory at Duke University, focusing on machine learning and computational biology methods for multi-omics big data and their applications in bioinformatics, single-cell, and high-dimensional spatial omics in tumor and immune-related diseases.
Available Subjects:
- ML/AI in Genomics and Bioinformatics.
Eligibility criteria:
