Scholarship Description:
Dr. Cong Zhang will join the Chinese University of Hong Kong’s School of Life Sciences as an Assistant Professor in August 2025. He earned his PhD from the Institute of Biophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and completed his postdoctoral training at UC Berkeley under Randy Schekman. His postdoctoral research discovered a novel intercellular tubular structure that mediates the transport of proteins, nucleic acids, and organelles between cells. This work was published as a cover article in eLife and selected as a featured article, recognized as one of the top 12 most discussed papers in 2023.

Eligibility criteria:

- Skills in molecular biology, cell biology, and microscopy will be preferred.
